Its been a REALLY long time since I actually completed a website design. My various personal web sites have gone though a number of iterations. The last one I had that actually made it live on the Internet was up from probably 2006 until mid 2009(?). Its been roughly 4 years since I actually had time, or had the desire to run a site. If you know me well, you know that I generally shun using all-in-one solutions (i.e. Wordpress) and prefer to write everything myself. This means that instead of fousing on the content of the site, inevitably I spend all my time trying to create my own custom management engine, layout, design, etc. I've tried numerous times to find the time to finish these projects, but they've always lost out to other endeavors; until now!
